Ah whoops. Computers can have accidents now

I was using Claude to set up dotfile syncing before provisioning a new machine, and during the session I got this:

Whoops, just press escape and move on. Nothing to see here.

User rejected Claude's plan:
Plan: Exit accidental plan mode
Plan mode was triggered accidentally mid-conversation. No implementation task is being planned. Simply exit plan mode and continue the planning session with the user.

This is a very human sort of 'accident’. The idea of software doing something relatably and accidentally in 2026 is pretty striking. A few years ago this would have been fiction.
